CBT Psychotherapy & Corporate Wellness
Welcome on your inner journey!
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used to create them.

Welcome to my website. It is truly nice to meet you through the words you are about to read.
If you are here, you are likely looking for professional support — and that step alone deserves recognition. Reaching for help reflects awareness and resourcefulness. Taking your health, both physical and mental, into your own hands is one of the most important steps towards meaningful change. The other part is finding the right person who can guide and support you along the way.
As a psychotherapist in Ireland, I believe it is important that you understand not only my qualifications, but also how I work, so you can decide whether my approach fits your needs.
I am a qualified Psychologist (1st Class Honours MSc in Applied Psychology, BA in Psychology, member of PSI) and an accredited Psychotherapist (BA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, Professional Diploma, fully accredited member of IACP, fully insured), based in Dublin, Ireland.
In terms of my practice and development, I worked for over four years as part of the volunteer counselling team in Dublin Simon Community. During that time, I supported individuals experiencing vulnerability and marginalisation, gaining experience in working with co-occurring difficulties and complex life situations.
This experience strengthened my ability to support individuals through complex and difficult situations using a structured, evidence-based approach, helping them understand their patterns and actively work towards change.
I was honoured to receive the Sunshine Personality Award (2019) from Dublin Simon Community, which holds a special place for me. I have also been recognised through WhatClinic Customer Service Awards (2019–2026) and listed among top psychotherapy services in Dublin. These recognitions motivate me to continue delivering high-quality care. In addition, I have been listed among one of the best psychotherapy services in Dublin, Ireland by bestinireland which I receive with appreciation and continue to see as motivation to maintain a high standard of care. . I am humbled by those recognitions and motivated more to deliver the best service I can.

Now I would like to introduce the main areas of my expertise, so you can consider whether my background and focus are aligned with what you are looking for.
There are several areas that have become a strong focus of my professional interest and development. The first includes difficulties that are highly prevalent across society, such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression and mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, and trauma. I work in these areas using evidence-based approaches including CBT and EMDR. These difficulties affect a growing number of people, and I consider it essential to offer structured, informed, and effective support for those navigating them.
The second area of my expertise relates to rarer, more complex, and sometimes understudied conditions such as personality disorders particularly borderline (DBT, Schema Therapy, CBT), misophonia (certified by Misophonia Institute), hyperacusis (reduced tolerance to sound), tinnitus distress (treatment with CBT Psychotherapy) or trichotillomania and other body-focused repetitive behaviours (trained by The TLC Foundation for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviours). Through my practice, I became increasingly aware of how limited knowledge and support can be in these areas, which motivated me to deepen my expertise so I could provide more informed help where it is often difficult to find.
The third area of my professional focus centres around attachment (Schema Therapy, CBT) and the long-term emotional and relational difficulties that often develop around them. This includes issues such as self-esteem, shame, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, anger management, procrastination, and related struggles. In this area I draw particularly from Schema Therapy and CBT. I have also completed ASIST Suicide Prevention Training, which helps me remain prepared to support clients safely and responsibly during the darkest and most difficult moments when needed.
My therapeutic style integrates techniques from different theoretical backgrounds and I apply them according to the needs of the client. At the same time, my main core model is grounded in one of the most researched and evidence-based approaches in psychotherapy making my work INTEGRATIVE CBT. Those approaches include:
and CBT branches such as:
Every therapist varies in their approach, which is why it is important for you to learn about how they work in order to make the right choice for yourself. You can read more about different therapeutic approaches here. Within these approaches, therapists bring not only different methods, but also their own personalities and ways of engaging in the process. This can include differences in neutrality, level of self-disclosure, and how actively they guide or challenge the client. It is worth noting that the common belief that therapy should be passive, neutral, and detached — with the therapist hiding their personality and focusing only on emotions — is a myth. For this reason, I would like to introduce the tools and elements I use within my work, so you can better understand what to expect from the process (you can click on the active links for more detailed information):
You can read about my clients’ experience of a therapy in the Testimonials section of this website or here.
Choosing your psychotherapist is very important. The relationship you build with your therapist is one of the key factors contributing to successful outcomes. Do not hesitate to raise your concerns, and if you feel that therapy is not working for you, I encourage you to share this openly. At the same time, it is important to remember that therapy takes time and often includes ups and downs. It may involve difficult emotions that you might naturally want to avoid, as well as moments where you may not agree with your therapist. This is a normal and valuable part of the process. Your openness and willingness to give feedback — including engaging in the rupture and repair process — is one of the most powerful tools in therapy. It allows us to explore psychological dynamics in real time and use them as an opportunity for deeper understanding and growth.
This is why I often say: we are a team. I cannot work effectively without your openness and engagement, just as you cannot fully benefit if your real thoughts, feelings, and discomfort are not shared. Therefore apart from the therapist factors such as collaboration, empathy, therapeutic alliance and positive regard playing role in an effectiveness of therapy (30%) the client’s factors are equally (and even a bit more) important for beneficial results (40%) and they include:
My work style may include homework such as mental exercises (CBT, DBT, REBT, Schema Therapy techniques, meditation), reading articles or books, recommendations of films for self-reflection, writing (I often encourage keeping notes), art-based techniques, questionnaires, and other tools. All of this is applied at your own pace, without pressure, and always in line with your readiness and collaboration. You decide what feels important to focus on (please do not hesitate to share this), and I actively guide the process from there using my knowledge and expertise. My role is to bring clarity, direction, and depth, while keeping the work semi structured, grounded, and purposeful. The most important aspect is your sense of safety and comfort in exploring yourself and the life you are living. Additionally, I am inviting you to enrol on courses available in Academy Section. I prepared this training for you so you can become your own therapist in your own time. Through my guidance you will be able to learn about your condition/struggle and use practical exercises/ideas that will empower you and increase your resourcefulness. At the moment you can join CBT for Misophonia Distress course (Adults, Parents, Teachers), but soon there will be more to explore and learn. Stay Tuned!
In addition to my work in therapy, I also support professionals and organisations in the area of corporate wellbeing. This work is grounded in the same psychological principles I apply in individual sessions, but adapted to the realities of workplace environments and professional demands.
I have completed a Diploma in Management Studies, which strengthened my understanding of organisational systems, leadership challenges, and workplace dynamics. Over the years, I have also gained experience within corporate environment, allowing me to understand the pressures, expectations, and complexities faced by individuals and teams. My work in this area focuses on resilience, emotional regulation, and sustainable performance. I support individuals in managing stress, improving clarity in decision-making, and navigating interpersonal dynamics, while maintaining their psychological wellbeing. This work is distinct from therapy and focuses on applying psychological principles in workplace environments, supporting individuals and teams in managing stress, improving decision-making, and functioning effectively under pressure.
I work from Monday till Friday from 1 pm till 8.30 pm (online). I work with adults & youth (17+), teenagers 13+ are welcomed with parents to work on misophonia, tinnitus, hyperacusis or repetitive body behaviours issues.
Hope I will have an opportunity to meet you and become a part of your journey – for bad and for good.
You come as a Client but we become the Team!
Renata. With warm wishes.
